CANADA IMMIGRATION FROM INDIA

Moving to Canada as an immigrant is an exciting and challenging opportunity. We have a number of options available to suit you and your family when applying for permanent visa.

We can guide you on entering Canadian workforce, helping you to choose the best university and also help you live and learn about life in Canada. Canada’s new Immigration and Refugee Act {IRPA} governs the process through which immigrants are admitted to Canada. Applicants are not discriminated on basis of their race, national, co lour or sex but on their ability to adapt to life in Canada.

There are a number of jobs available in the skilled as well as the unskilled sector.
The largest sector has been the skilled sector. For the unskilled sector some vocational training along with some vocational education and four to five years of work experience and basic speaking knowledge of English would be the criteria. As for the skilled sector university degrees, professional qualifications, fluency in English and five to seven years of work experience is a must. International work experience will be of great advantage.

In order to work in Canada one must have a job offer from an employer who has first made efforts to hire a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident for the job but has not been able to find someone who fits the profile. The employer has to prove that no Canadian or permanent resident was fit for the job offered. The employer then makes the job offer to the foreign worker who applies for the work permit after approval from Services Canada at the visa office of his country of residence.

Criteria for obtaining a permanent visa to Canada are age, educational qualifications, The English and French language ability, relatives in Canada arranged employment in Canada etc. All this contribute towards a permanent residency application.

If a person is looking for citizenship then he/she needs to meet the residence requirements i.e.  A minimum of two years as permanent resident. Also the person needs to be above 18 years of age and needs to be a permanent resident of Canada and living in that country for at least three years. People who apply for immigration must remember that most employers look for Canadian work experience, need to be computer and web savvy and also be ready to start from a junior level before moving up to a senior level management position.
